FormNest privacy policy
FormNest ("the app") is published by VIP Tech, Dublin, Ireland ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used and your choices. FormNest is an independent app and is not affiliated with Google LLC.
1. Google account and Google Forms data
When you sign in with Google, the app requests permission to:
- See, edit, create and delete your Google Forms (
forms.body) – so you can build and edit forms in the app. - See responses to your Google Forms (
forms.responses.readonly) – to show charts, summaries and exports. - See, edit, create and delete only the Google Drive files you use with this app (
drive.file) – only the forms you create in FormNest or pick yourself with the Google Drive picker, so you can rename them and invite collaborators. FormNest cannot see any other files in your Drive.
Your forms and responses are fetched directly from Google's servers to your device over an encrypted connection. We do not operate a server and we never receive, store or sell your Google data. A copy may be cached on your device while the app is in use.
FormNest's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. Information stored on your device
- Your sign-in session (managed by Google Sign-In).
- App settings, such as which forms you have chosen to receive alerts for and your plan.
- If you use the optional AI features: the API key you enter, stored only on your device.
3. Notifications
If you enable response alerts, the app periodically checks the response count of the forms you selected (about every 15 minutes) and shows a notification on your device. No data leaves your device for this feature.
4. Optional AI features
The AI form designer and AI response analyser are optional and only run when you tap them. They send the text you type, and the questions and answers of the selected form, to Anthropic PBC (privacy policy) using the API key you provide. You can remove the key at any time in Settings. Do not use these features with responses that contain sensitive personal data unless you are permitted to share them with a third-party processor.
5. Payments
FormNest Pro (7-day free trial, then a monthly subscription) is processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions.
6. Analytics and advertising
The app contains no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
7. Data deletion
Sign out in Settings to remove your session from the device, and uninstall the app to delete all locally stored data. To revoke the app's access to your Google account, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions. Because we store no data on servers, there is nothing further for us to delete; you can still contact us at the address below with any request.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
